Showcase

The June Showcase is PDT’s end of year performance celebrating the growth of all of our students throughout the year. The performance features a broad range of styles and showcases the many talents of our Pre-School and Primary Division Students.

Notes:

  • This is an outdoor performance. Consider bringing sunscreen/sunglasses/hats.

  • Bathrooms are located on the second floor of the building. There is no elevator.

  • Flowers will be available to purchase to gift to your dancer.

  • Refreshments will be available for purchase.

  • All audience members are asked to stay for the entire performance.

  • Free parking is available on campus.

  • Ticketing/Seating

    Your wristband is your ticket to the performance.

    There are three colors of wristbands that signify your seat type.

    All seats are general admission.

    Audience members will be able to take their seats beginning at 10:15 am.

    If able, families are asked to pick up their wristbands prior to June 1st to limit lines the day of the performance.

    Wristbands not picked up by May 31st, will be held at the Will Call table on June 1st.

    Red Wristbands

    All families of performing dancers are given two RED wristbands as their complimentary tickets for the performance. These wristbands entitle you to two seats.

    Your complementary wristbands may be picked up at the studio.

    Blue Wristbands

    Additional seated tickets are available for purchase for $10.

    Guests who purchase seated tickets will receive BLUE wristbands which entitle you to use a provided chair.

    Please pick up your wristband at the studio prior to the performance if possible.

    Green Wristbands

    Standing room/bring your own chair seats are available for $7.

    Please provide your own lawn chair or blanket. Green wristbands may not sit in the provided chairs.

    Children 12 years old and under are free to enter and will sit on the ground. Children will be given a green wristband.

Purchase flowers for your dancer!

The PDT Parent Guild will be selling flowers at the performance to audience members to gift to their dancer. Pre-order your dancer's flowers and pick them up at the performance while supporting PDT!

A limited number of bouquets will be available to purchase at the performance. Pre-orders are preferred.

Information for PDT Families

  • After closely monitoring the weather all week, we’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to move our June Showcase up to Friday, June 6 at 5:30 p.m.

    The forecast calls for rain throughout the weekend—including our original date on Saturday 6/7 and the designated rain date on Sunday 6/8. Friday evening is currently the only window with a clear forecast, and we want to ensure your dancers have the best and most reliable opportunity to perform for you and their loved ones.

    We know this is a significant change, and we’ve worked quickly behind the scenes to make it possible. We’ve shifted our contracts with tech and rentals, rearranged staffing, and secured everything needed to present the same beautiful event—just one day earlier.

    We understand this adjustment may require schedule shuffling on your part, and we deeply appreciate your flexibility. Many families are beginning summer travel shortly after this weekend, and we believe this is the best path forward to ensure everyone gets to celebrate their dancer’s hard work.

    We’ll still have flowers for pre-order pickup, and concessions will be available for purchase—including tomato pie, soft pretzels, sweet treats, and more.

    Please be sure your dancer eats dinner before arriving.

    Dancers still need to be dropped off with their hair done and dressed in their costume.

    All drop off and pick up procedures remain the same.

    Volunteers Needed

    With the shift to Friday, we need your help more than ever to ensure everything runs smoothly.

    • We are working on updating the SignUpGenius to reflect the new schedule.

    • If you can no longer fulfill your shift, please remove your name from the sign-up.

    • If you're available to help, please check the sign-up to see if there are any open shifts you can cover.

    Ticketing

    All tickets remain valid for the new date. If you or your guests are no longer able to attend, you’re welcome to request a refund by emailing us. If you’d prefer to donate your ticket cost to support the school, please just let us know.

      • Who: ALL showcase dancers

      • Dancers MUST arrive in costume with their hair done

      • Pre ballet dancers will be dropped off at the courtyard opposite the PDT front doors

      • Primary Division Dancers will go straight upstairs top their assigned studio

      • Performance time: 5:30-7:30 pm

        • Doors will open at 5:00 p.m.

    • Costumes for the June showcase are the dancers' Eurotard class uniform.

    • All dancers must have the appropriate uniform for the class they are performing with.

    • Other brands/styles are not accepted

    • Dancers without the proper dress code will not be allowed to perform.

    • Please purchase your child's level uniform here if they do not already have it

    • We highly recommend ordering any missing dress code pieces now to avoid back orders.

    • PDT will provide matching hair accessories for the dancers in each class dance as part of the participation fee

  • JUNE SHOWCASE REGISTRATION FORM

    • To register for the June Showcase, families must fill out the form above by April 12th to indicate which classes they are committing to performing with.

    • We will then add the $50 fee to your Dance StudioPro account where you can pay it with your normal tuition. 

    • This fee is a family fee and will cover: 2 seats in the provided folding chairs for adults, and entry for siblings who may bring a blanket and sit on the grass.

    • Additional seated tickets can be purchased for extended family members and friends.

    • Each family’s registration fee covers 2 seats for adults in the provided folding chairs.

    • Siblings may attend for free and bring a blanket and sit on the grass.

    • Red wristbands will serve as your family’s 2 comp tickets. These will be available for pick up at the front desk closer to the time of the show.

    • Additional seated tickets may be purchased for extended family and friends for $10 

    • We ask that all children sit on the lawn and do not take the limited seats from seniors and adults.
