Maggie Bucko

Sugar Plum Fairy

  • Maggie Bucko grew up in Philadelphia, PA, where she received her training at Philadelphia Dance Theatre under the direction of Joy Capponi. She danced as a trainee with Sarasota Ballet in Florida and as a studio company member with Ballet Arizona under the direction of Ib Anderson. In 2022, Ms. Bucko joined Ballet Hartford as a principal dancer where she has danced originating roles in A Ceremony of Carols and Venus, choreographed by Ballet Hartford’s Artistic Director, Claire Krtezschmar. Ms. Bucko also performed in the new full-length narrative ballet, Raffaella, which premiered in South Bend, IN in 2024. Alongside her career as a professional ballet dancer, Ms. Bucko is a ballet teacher and a faculty member at the School of Ballet Hartford. 

Daniel Cooke

Cavalier

  • Daniel Cooke received his early training in his hometown of Washington, D.C., continuing his studies at The Orlando Ballet School and Patel Conservatory. As a Mary Day Scholar and Youth America Grand Prix medalist, Cooke completed his post-secondary training at Canada’s National Ballet School then joined the National Ballet of Canada, dancing works by Ashton, Nureyev, James Kudelka, and others. He was then invited to join the Dutch National Ballet Junior Company. Cooke’s repertoire at the Dutch National Ballet included all major classics, new works, and soloist roles. Noted for his interpretation of classical and modern works, Cooke has been praised internationally by critics as “a gallant partner,” carrying off the most “technical [and] fiendish” choreography with “cleanliness [and] aplomb.” Cooke joined The Suzanne Farrell Ballet for its penultimate season, adding the works of George Balanchine to his repertoire. He has also danced for Complexions Contemporary Ballet and American Repertory Ballet, dancing soloist roles to acclaim in major classics and modern works.

    Cooke joined Oklahoma City Ballet in 2020 as a member of the corps de ballet. Since that time, he has taken on new creations by artistic director Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye, soloist and principal roles, and continued his own choreographic ventures.

Floyd McLean Jr.

Rat King & Candy Cane Soloist

  • Floyd McLean, Jr., originally from East Orange NJ, began his pre-professional dance training at the age of 13 at Sharron Miller’s Academy for The Performing Arts In Montclair, NJ. He has trained with residencies/intensives such as The Dance Theater of Harlem, Ballet Hispanico, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, NYU Future Dancers/Dance Makers, and Dallas Black Dance Theatre.

    He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from Point Park University in 2018, with a concentration in Modern Dance where he was awarded the Don Craig Scholarship. During his time in college, he has trained with and danced for numerous choreographers and also found his love for choreography while enrolled in school! Choreography is now a huge passion of his and he plans to do it  After graduation, he began his first season with Dallas Black Dance Theatre’s DBDT: Encore! Under the direction of Nycole Ray. He is currently a company member with Philadanco!

Charles Michael Patterson

Snow King & Coffee

  • Born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, Charles M Patterson moved to the United States at the age of ten. He began his dance training at the Boston Arts Academy and afterschool program Jeannette Neill studio. Charles received his Bachelor of Fine Art in Ballet Pedagogy from The Boston Conservatory (2016). He accepted his first company contract dancing with Complexions Contemporary Ballet 2016–2017 season. Charles joined Dallas Black Dance Theatre in 2018 and completed his 5th season with the company 2022. Charles is an advocate for spreading the importance of Fine Arts, while continuing to be an activist within the Fine Arts Communities throughout the nation.
