Mikaela Fenton
Mikaela Fenton, originally from Sicklerville NJ, Graduated with a B.F.A in Dance from University of the Arts in Philadelphia under “Artistic” scholarship. She performed in works choreographed by Katie Swords Thurman, Tommie-Waheed Evans, Jesse Zaritt, Sidra Bell, Milton Myers, Meredith Rainey and Kyle and Dinita Clark. Simultaneous to her schooling she was a member of D/2 Apprentice Company of PHILADANCO! for 3 years. After Graduating Mikaela joined Philadanco! for 7 seasons as principal dancer performing works by Ulysses Dove, Ray Mercer, Christopher Huggins, Christopher Rudd, Thang Dao, Gene Hill Sagan, Bernard Gaddis, Francisco Gella, Rennie Harris, Anthony Burrell, Ephrat Asherie, George Faizon, Talley Beaty and many more. She also served as Company MasterClass teacher and speaker while at home and on tour nationally and internationally at innumerable amounts of Universities and Programs. She has trained in programs including Springboard X Works and Process, NVA & Guests, TAKE Dance Co, Jacob Jonas The Company, A.I.M Abraham in motion and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Previously a Professor of Dance at University of the Arts, she now teaches and choreographs for Philadelphia Ballet’s PBll as well as The School of the Philadelphia Ballet. She has been on faculty at City Dance Conservatory, PHILADANCO Dance Arts, The Rock School of Dance and countless other programs within the city and surrounding areas. Mikaela works as a Movement Director/Creative director with numerous filmmakers, cinematographers, musicians and creatives to bring music videos and short films to life.
