Anna Vartapetova
Born in Moscow, Russia, Anna Vartapetova is a ballet educator and Character Dance specialist with more than 28 years of teaching experience. A graduate of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, she performed with the Moscow State Regional Theater of Russian Ballet, dancing in productions including Swan Lake, Don Quixote, and Coppélia.
Dr. Vartapetova earned a PhD in Pedagogical Sciences with a specialization in Classical Dance and has taught at leading performing arts institutions in Russia and internationally. She currently serves on the faculty of Philadelphia Ballet, The Rock School for Dance Education, and Metropolitan Ballet Academy.
Recognized for her contributions to dance education, Dr. Vartapetova has taught master classes around the world, served as a jury member for international competitions, and is the founder of the International Festival Competition VARTADANCE. Her teaching combines the traditions of the Russian ballet school with a supportive approach that inspires technical excellence, artistry, and confidence in every dancer.
