Liza Griffin

Liza Griffin began her training with Philadelphia Dancer Theatre at the age of 6 where she trained under Joy Delaney-Capponi. While at PDT she attended and performed works by emerging choreographers at Regional Dance America. Through Regional Dance America, she was awarded a scholarship to the National Choreographic Intensive in Dayton, Ohio. She has attended other summer programs including Festival Ballet Providence, now Ballet Rhode Island, and American Repertory Ballet in Princeton, New Jersey. After attending American Repertory Ballet's summer intensive in 2022, she joined their trainee program for the 2023-2024 season. There she trained under Rebeca Maso and performed in Ethan Steifel's "The Nutcracker," and "Sleeping Beauty." As a trainee, she had the opportunity to choreograph a piece on her peers, to be performed at the company showcase. 

Most recently, Liza’s piece Roving was selected to be performed at the 2025 Northeast Regional Dance America Festival, where she was awarded the Emerging Choreographer Award.
