Costume Enrichment Fund
Philadelphia Dance Theatre’s Costume Enrichment Fund supports the artistry, craftsmanship, and creativity that bring our productions to life. Each season, PDT invests in designing, building, and maintaining hundreds of costumes that elevate the stage experience for our dancers and audiences alike.
Through this fund, we aim to upgrade or redesign costumes for at least one Nutcracker role each year, preserving the beauty and integrity of our beloved holiday tradition. In addition, we create entirely new costumes for six commissioned works annually, presented at Regional Dance America and our Breaking Ground concert, as well as fresh designs for our Spring Showcase.
Behind every production is a dedicated team led by our talented Costume Mistresses, Gina Shifferly and Joan Fox, whose artistry and attention to detail ensure each piece reflects the heart of the choreography. We are deeply grateful for the many volunteers who lend their time and skill in sewing, fitting, organizing, and caring for these garments.
Your contribution to the Costume Enrichment Fund helps sustain this essential part of PDT’s creative process - supporting the design, materials, and craftsmanship that allow our dancers to shine and our stories to come vividly to life on stage.
